Sophie has just graduated with a first class honours degree in Philosophy, Politics and International Relations. She is passionate about spreading awareness of environmental and humanitarian issues through film and has a strong interest in ecofeminism.
At Volans Sophie enjoys getting stuck into research based tasks and working with the creative team to communicate environmental messages in new and innovative ways.
In her free time she goes on long, spontaneous walks across London to find the best vegan bakeries, and loves to read, watch documentaries and travel (albeit within the UK over the last few months).
Q. When are you most fulfilled?
A.When I am experiencing something new, be it a culture, food, or adventure, immersing myself in a new challenge.
Q. What brought you here?
A. An insatiable drive to tackle the environmental challenges we are facing.
Q. Where is your centre of gravity: past, present or future?
A. Although I am strongly focused on the future, my centre of gravity is definitely the present. Only in the present can we make changes that will alter the future and only in the present can we reflect and learn from past mistakes.
Q. What are you grateful for ?
A.The passing of time. Time has allowed me to grow into the person I am today. That time will pass is as scary as it is inevitable but without it nothing could change and we may never realise the value of what we have.
