John presents at the Queens Awards for Enterprise: Sustainable Development

On March 3rd 2023, John presented key note ‘Surfing the Future: A Tsunami of Change is Coming’, at the Queens Award for Enterprise: Sustainable Development in Truro, Cornwall.

The award was presented to Ward Williams Associates (WWA), a property and construction consultancy, for their support in the transition to net zero through their commitment to decarbonise construction and use ‘business as a force for good’.

In his presentation, John talked about the importance of the built environment and how far we are yet to come. He highlights the fact that the built environment contributes to 40% of UK GHGs and that to achieve net zero by 2050, 29 million homes must be retrofitted.

John continued to spread the word in Truro with Andy Snapes, senior partner at WWA, on BBC Radio Cornwall, you can listen to the replay here (timestamp 16:10 – 26:47).
