Welcome to Volans’ Book Club where we dive into fresh ideas for the next chapter with our favourite authors.

Each month we read and discuss a book focused on creating positive exponential shifts. Our book club is a space to come together to imagine (and take action for) the future.

We invite authors at the forefront of systems thinking, to discuss their thoughts and writing. Facilitated by our CEO, Louise Kjellerup Roper, the book club live sessions offer members the chance to participate in a Q&A with the author, connect with one another, be inspired, and explore solutions to our most urgent challenges.

The book club is open to anyone interested in driving a better future, especially those working in or entering business and finance.

After a few months away, Volans Book Club is excited to return with a special guest and dear friend of Volans, Sonja Haut, Head of Impact Valuation at Novartis and one of the pioneers and practitioners of the approach as well as author of “The Case for Impact”.

Sonja brings deep expertise from her work at Novartis and a bold vision for embedding impact valuation into business strategy. Her book makes a compelling argument: it’s time for businesses to move beyond traditional cost accounting to measuring true value creation.

In conversation with our Head of Insights Richard, the session will discuss how we should rethink how we account for value and embed impact into the heart of business strategy.
