Prior to joining Volans, Tom ran a UK based incubator and workspace for entrepreneurs called Launch22, supporting 750+ entrepreneurs between 2015-2020. This work opened his eyes to the possibilities of using business as a force for good, and in turn, motivated Tom to start his own entrepreneurial journey. Tom co-hosts a podcast focusing on carbon removal technologies and is an taking part in the On Purpose Associate training programme.

Q. Why do you do what you do?
Having spent time running an incubator and workspace for entrepreneurs from all walks of life, my eyes were opened to the possibilities of using business as a force for good, and in turn, motivated me to work on initiatives tackling social and environmental challenges.

When you can see your work have a direct impact on an individual level.

I’m taking part in a leadership programme called On Purpose. I was introduced to Volans through them!
Q. Where is your centre of gravity: past, present or future?
Firmly in the future. I’m eager to work on solving the systemic challenges we face when it comes to rebalancing our planet.
