The second in a series of thought pieces by Volans for Fast Company. This article discusses one of the core focuses of Volans’ work in the last 2 years, business models. If we are to create solutions that meet the scale and speed of the challenges we face globally then sustainable innovation cannot be something that happens around the fringes of a company’s operating model, it needs to go into the very design of their business model. Furthermore, we cannot rely on transformational technology to find its own way to market – we must create business models that connects it with what the market wants.
